About Us

Interiors by Design was founded in 2005 when Brenda Smith decided that her contribution to reconstruction after Hurricane Charley was to help people in Charlotte County put their homes back together, and in turn, bring normalcy back into their lives. Since then, our services have been expanded to include areas north to Venice and south to Estero.

In Punta Gorda, Interiors by Design has a design center with fabric, wall covering, plantation shutter and blind samples, and much more.

Interiors by Design offers an array of products and services from decorative accessories, artwork, lighting and rugs, to decorating and painting consultations, to project management. Interiors by Design will help you turn your home or office from ordinary to extraordinary.

BRENDA SMITH, Principal

Brenda has spent a lifetime with a passion for interior design and decorating, starting long before her move to Punta Gorda in 2002. While living in Maryland, Brenda owned a decorating and window treatment business.

Even though Brenda has been interior decorator for more than 20 years, she is always learning something new and continues her education through design classes, workshops and seminars.

Brenda is a licensed and insured Interior Decorator, Certified Color Consultant, and a Certified Interior Redesign Specialist (CIRS), a Certified Interior Staging Specialist (CISS) and a Window Fashions Certified Professional (WFCP.) Brenda is a member of The National Interior Design Society (IDS), the local Interior Design Society Chapter of Charlotte & Lee Counties, Interior Redesign Industry Specialists (I.R.I.S.) and the Real Estate Staging Association (RESA.) Brenda is also a member of the Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce and Business and Professional Women of Charlotte County, and a Auxiliary member of the Center for Abuse and Rape Emergencies (C.A.R.E.) of Charlotte County.

ROBYN BILUK, Design Coordinator

Robyn and her husband moved to Charlotte County in 2004, having lived in southwestern Ohio and the metro-Detroit area. Her past career skills included executive co-ordination, event planning and marketing. She was responsible for creating fundraising programs for schools nationwide, designing products, brochures, catalogs and importing merchandise from other countries. When Robyn first came to Punta Gorda, she was designing jewelry and accessories and coordinating imports from countries around the world.

Robyn brings five years experience as a design coordinator, including project management and purchasing to Interiors by Design. She loves working with customers and vendors to make every job small or large run smoothly. Her passion is making living spaces beautiful and unique while still comfortable.

Together, Brenda and Robyn are a winning team of design sense with the ability to pull together your decorating project, whether small or large, residential or commercial!
