Brenda has been decorating and redesigning rooms for as long as she can remember. As a teenager, she would rearrange her bedroom several times a year and would also help her girlfriends do the same. She couldn't afford to buy new things, so she would take what she had or use thrift store finds and redo them to make them work. While moving around the country as a military wife her design talents really paid off, making her furnishings work in each house she lived in. She always made each house the family's home! Her philosophy is that you don't need a lot of money to have a beautiful home, just imagination!

In 2002, Brenda and her husband moved to Punta Gorda, Florida from Annapolis, Maryland. After Hurricane Charlie, she saw the need for her services. It was devastating to see all of the destruction that Mother Nature can dish out and she saw this as an opportunity to help people put their lives back together.

Brenda loves working with clients to create beautiful spaces. Whether decorating with new furnishings, redesigning using existing furnishings or staging a home to sell, Interiors By Design always respects the client’s lifestyle and budget.

Brenda is a licensed and insured Interior Decorator, Color Consultant, Certified Interior Redesign Specialist (CIRS), Certified Interior Staging Specialist (CISS) and a Window Fashions Certified Professional (WFCP). Brenda is a proud member of the Interior Design Society (IDS), Interior Redesign Industry Specialists (IRIS), Real Estate Staging Association (RESA). She is also a member of the Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce.
